Building Momentum in 2017

What began in 2016 with an elevator conversation emerges as a new model for supporting life science innovation with a focus connecting communities in 2017.

The White Hat team kicked off 2017 in San Francisco during J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference week as investors and innovators converged on the city to make connections that lead to deals.

Team members traveled around the globe to meet with leading life science communities from coast to coast and from continent to continent  to learn more about the unique needs of leading life science communities and the innovations emerging from them.

Building on what they learned, White Hat team  members got to work on the design and implementation plans for innovative and sustainable investments models that could help these life science and healthcare communities grow.

In October the team returned to where it all began for meetings with key opinion leaders from Arizona life science communities in Phoenix and Tucson. By December of 2017, the pieces were coming together for a new initiative aimed to address the state’s growing need for early stage capital in 2018 with preview at the 2017 AZBio Trailblazers Luncheon.
